The nature of encaustic painting (painting with molten beeswax) means that no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. You start with a concept of what you want to create but you have to be prepared for the wax to determine the final look and feel of the piece. I am inspired by both the wonders of the world and the wonder of abstracts – where everyone can see something a little different. Some days I try to direct the wax to do what I want it to, and some days I just see what it wants to do. I also believe that everyone should be able to own art, which is why my pieces range from small magnets to large statement pieces.
